Team members and colleagues from the project partnership on Unwrapping an Icon: Lady in a Fur Wrap and Related Spanish Portraits in the Stirling Maxwell Collection held a project symposium in Glasgow last week.

Meeting together with invited international specialists working on comparable projects and fields of enquiry across several disciplines provided a great opportunity to present findings, interpret results, and discuss work-in-progress and future directions.
The interdisciplinary group combined specialists in Spanish art, technical art historians, dress and social historians, museum curators and conservation scientists.
